The Definitive FlexOffers Review for 2021 (& Beyond)

So, you’re looking for an unbiased FlexOffers review, right?

Maybe you’re wondering if it’s worth signing up for…

Or maybe you don’t have the time to sift through dozens of affiliate network options, hoping to find the one that’s right for you.

Today, I’ll help you narrow down your decision with my FlexOffers deep dive.

First, I’ll answer the all-important money questions.

From there, I’ll get to the meat of the review and show you what’s good, what’s bad, and what makes FlexOffers unique from the competition.

Let’s go!

What is FlexOffers?

FlexOffers is an affiliate network that acts as the middleman between you and affiliate programs. FlexOffers allows you to manage and find affiliate programs so you can easily promote them to your audience.

What is Affiliate Marketing?

Affiliate marketing is a method of earning a commission by promoting goods and services that already exist.

Not sure how to start making money as an affiliate?

Knowing how to get started with affiliate marketing can be the key difference between blindly guessing at what works and making great passive income.

After all, who doesn’t want to get paid talking about things you already love to use?

How Does FlexOffers Work?

Think of FlexOffers as a one-stop-shop for affiliate programs.

After joining, you browse and find affiliate programs to promote. This promotion can be done through multiple marketing options — your website or blog, social media such as Facebook, email marketing, etc.

Instead of keeping track of nine separate affiliate websites with varying logins and payouts, it’s easier for you to manage multiple affiliate programs under one roof: FlexOffers.

How Do You Earn Money?

You don’t want to waste your time with FlexOffers if you’re not going to make money. Luckily, FlexOffers advertisers provide varying commission types:

Cost per Sale

You get paid if someone clicks your link and buys a product or service within a set number of days.

Cost per Action

You get paid if an action, as defined by the advertiser — sometimes called the publisher — is made. This action could be an email signup, using a promo code, or purchasing a specific affiliate product.

Cost per Lead

With cost per lead, no purchase is required. For example, if you recommend vision insurance and someone requests a quote, you get paid.

Cost per Click

This is the easiest way to make affiliate income. For you to be paid, all someone needs to do is click on the affiliate link that directs them to the advertiser. That’s it!

FlexOffers Overview

Signing Up To FlexOffers

Similar to other affiliate programs, FlexOffers must approve your application before you can browse for advertisers.

Their application is relatively straightforward:

First, enter your email and create an account. The verification email contains the link to continue your application.

Next, provide personal information and list traffic sources. Indicate how you plan on promoting your affiliates.

FlexOffers affiliate promotion methods

Provide information for each potential traffic source you picked. For instance, if you’re using an email list, you’ll be asked the type of emails you’ll send, your number of subscribers, etc.

FlexOffers signup: traffic sources

Submit your application and wait for approval. They usually respond in one business day.

Keep in mind: you’re applying to use the FlexOffers website. You still need to apply to each affiliate program individually.

FlexOffers Affiliate Programs

FlexOffers affiliate programs

So, does the FlexOffers affiliate network offer any good advertisers that make it worth signing up?

Of course! But that also depends on your niche.

But since FlexOffers has over 12,000 advertisers within their network, you have a pretty good chance of finding relevant products and profitable partnerships.

Plus, the advertisers on FlexOffers offer a slightly higher commission rate than other affiliate programs. Win-win.

The categories you’ll find with FlexOffers are:

  • Automotive
  • Business
  • Career
  • Clothing and Accessories
  • Consumer Electronics
  • Credit Cards
  • Digital Products
  • Education
  • Energy
  • Entertainment
  • Family
  • Financial Services
  • Health and Wellness
  • Home and Garden
  • Insurance
  • Legal Services
  • Lifestyle and Recreation
  • Media
  • Mobile
  • Online Services
  • Seasonal Promotions
  • Shopping
  • Sports, Fitness & Outdoors
  • Telecommunications
  • Travel

Another concern is whether or not FlexOffers has popular products your audience recognizes and wants to use.

It’s a fair concern. I wondered the same thing.

I found that FlexOffers, like other affiliate programs, has a mix of big and small brands across different categories:

  • Travel: JetBlue, Booking.com, Kayak, Hawaiian Airlines
  • Clothing: Savage X Fenty, DSW, Converse, Marshalls
  • Business: FreshBooks, Yelp for Business, Fiverr, Udacity
  • Financial Services: Coinbase, Acorns, LendingTree, Stash Invest
  • Health and Wellness: Cigna, Ulta, Nutrisystem, Noom
  • Online Services: NordVPN, Vimeo, GoDaddy.com, Envato Elements

Finding Products to Promote?

The FlexOffers search is one of the better ones I’ve seen among affiliate networks.

To easily sort through the thousands of options available, go to the “Advertisers” tab then to the “Search Advertisers” sub-tab.

FlexOffers: search advertisters menu

The side search bar offers the following search filters:

  • Status: You can search through affiliate programs you’re approved for, are still pending, or declined
  • Name or keywords
  • Category: You have about 25 different categories to choose from with subcategories within
  • Country
  • Payout type: You can search depending on the commission type, such as by sale, action, lead, or click

Within the search, you have multiple ways to sort:

FlexOffers: sort by menu (for advertisers)

Once you find an advertiser you’re interested in promoting, simply click “Apply Now”.

Setting Up Affiliate Links

You can view the links from your approved advertisers by heading over to the “Links” tab.

FlexOffers: affiliate links menu

Search for the advertiser you’re looking for, then choose “View Link”. You’ll get a popup that looks similar to this:

FlexOffers: affiliat link preview menu

It looks technical but don’t worry, it’s pretty intuitive. You’re getting the option to insert your affiliate links in an HTML format, a regular hyperlink, or as an image. One of these will suit you.

Just copy and paste the text link or code onto your blog post or social media!

FlexOffers Pros and Cons

Pros

Good for Beginners Without Huge Traffic Sources

You don’t need a ton of followers or page views to get approved. FlexOffers network lets you get started with affiliate marketing instead of having to wait for more traffic. This is a bonus for anyone starring out!

Recognizable Advertisers

Including popular advertisers on FlexOffers is huge for an affiliate. This means you’ll find products you’ve used and want to recommend.

No Initial Sale Requirements

Some affiliate networks require that you make a sale within the first few months or they deactivate your account. FlexOffers doesn’t impose this added pressure on you.

Easier to Reach Payment Minimums

Since you have multiple affiliate programs under one umbrella, the payout minimum is easier to reach. By contrast, if you apply to programs individually, then you have to get to the commission minimum from that single advertiser before you get paid.

Good for Most Niches

Having dozens of categories to choose from means most people benefit from being part of FlexOffers. You have options regardless of if you’re a fashion or finance guru.

Easy to Keep Track of Your Affiliates

Having one affiliate network removes the hassle of remembering multiple logins and passwords. You only need to log in to one website to access your links and reports.

User-Friendly Website

The website is pretty user-friendly, with mainly one or two main tabs when looking for advertisers. You also don’t need to be highly technical to understand how to insert their affiliate links.

Cons

Long Payment Times

The net60 payment terms mean it’ll take a while for you to get paid.

Unavoidable Transaction Fees

All of their payout options require some sort of transaction fee.

Average Payout Minimums

With direct deposit, you need $25 in affiliate sales to get paid. This is not as low as other affiliate networks that only require $10. However, it’s also not as high as others that require $50 or even $100.

FlexOffers Alternatives

Wondering how FlexOffers compares to other top affiliate networks? Let’s see how FlexOffers measures up to its competitors.

CJ Affiliate (formerly Commission Junction)

CJ Affiliate homepage

Here’s how CJ Affiliate stacks up against FlexOffers:

  • More established. CJ Affiliate is one of the first affiliate marketing networks to ever exist
  • Fewer advertisers. You have only 4,000 advertisers to choose from
  • A sale is required within the first six months. If you don’t, your account gets deactivated. You can reactivate your account but you must reapply to each advertiser again
  • Faster payouts. CJ Affiliate issues payments around the 20th of the following month
  • Higher minimums. $50 in commission before payout

Amazon Associates

Amazon Associates homepage

Amazon Associates differentiates itself with:

  • Lower minimums. $10 in commission before payout
  • You get a commission on all qualified items in their cart. If someone uses your Amazon referral link, you get paid for the other items they purchase as well
  • 3 sales are required within the first 180 days. These can’t be personal orders
  • Stricter application approval process and usage. Amazon has strict rules on affiliate disclosure, which includes rules on how you advertise Amazon products
  • Same payout time frames. Commission paid on Net60 terms

ShareASale

ShareASale homepage

ShareASale offers the following:

  • A large number of advertisers. Since being acquired by Awin, ShareASale boasts a massive 16,550 advertisers to choose from
  • High minimums. $50 in commission before payout
  • Faster payouts. You get paid on the 20th of every month
  • No sale requirement for new affiliates. This is the same as FlexOffers

ClickBank

Clickbank homepage

ClickBank compares to FlexOffers with:

  • High commissions. ClickBank offers up to 90% commission, which is one of the highest
  • More established. Along with CJ Affiliate, ClickBank was one of the first
  • Fewer advertisers. They offer around 4,000 products
  • Lower minimums. $10 in commission before payout
  • Penalty for lack of activity. You’ll pay a $1 fee for 90 inactive days. This goes up to a whopping $50 for 365 days
  • Faster payouts. Pay periods are two weeks. You get paid the following Wednesday

Final Verdict On FlexOffers

FlexOffers provides a unique opportunity for beginners wanting to get their feet wet in affiliate marketing.

However, I’d say if your niche isn’t within one of the categories mentioned earlier, then FlexOffers might not offer enough advertising options to make it worth it.

FlexOffers is also not as “big” as Amazon Associates or CJ Affiliate, but there’s no downside in applying. You won’t get penalized if you don’t make a sale.

This freedom is vital for new bloggers and content creators, especially if you are in the process of building up your audience and increasing traffic.

Beyond The FlexOffers Review: Is it the Affiliate Network for You?

Signing up for FlexOffers won’t be a waste of your time. And if you’re an affiliate marketing newbie, it’s one of the better starting options.

But know that FlexOffers isn’t like a scam that promises you thousands of dollars without any effort.

Sure it saves you time. But if you want to make money blogging or as an affiliate marketer, you need to spend that time promoting your FlexOffers affiliates.

But that’s all just my opinion.

Give FlexOffers a go and see yourself!
